N - Nail up a message (Requires access level 2 or higher)
Editor subcommands:
A - Abort message and return to BBS
C - Continue entering lines in message
D - Delete a given line in message
E - Edit a string in a message line
L - List message starting at a given line
R - Replace one entire message line
S - Store message.
F - Enter Files subsystem
D - Dematerialize (goodbye)
H - Help (displays this file)
I - Install user terminal (define clearscreen, backspace, lower case on/off, prompt bell, linefeeds, and terminal width)
K - Kill (Delete) message
L - User Log (cleared periodically)
M - Mail
O - Other Ships in area
P - Change password
R - Read message(s)

Typing Space or Control-C aborts any function or file display in progress, except for XMODEM transfers, which are aborted by Control-X.
System output is paused by "S" or control-S and is released by any character other than a null.
If the system waits 3 minutes for an input without receiving any characters, it will automatically disconnect.
Logon: System first checks for carriage return at 1200 baud: if any other character or garbage is received, it switches to 300 baud. Wait 1 second or so after connection is made, then press carriage return until system logs on.
Access levels:
0: Bozo: Disallowed user: no system access.
1: Voyager: cannot send messages or upload files.
2: Deckhand: Can send and delete messages, upload files.
3: Swabbie: Access to More subboards
4: Elite: Unlimited time on system
5: Captain: Read/Write/Delete access to all message, data and system files.
